OPEN Ocean Clean-up Project
The MERO Foundation invites all to join us and participate in our Ocean Clean-up Program. The program lasts for a year, starts in July 2022 and ends in June 2023. For more information, see the Volunteer Registration Guide below.

OPEN Internships
MERO Foundation hosts internship projects for science students. Topics include:
- Antibacterial activity of bacterial symbiont nudibranch, sponge and bryozoa.
- Antibacterial activity of actynomycetes symbiont nudibranch, sponge and bryozoa.
- Nudibranch survey in Tulamben area.
- Morphological identification of nudibranch, sponge and bryozoa.
- Local development and microplastic handling.
- Sea water quality assessment.
- Coral larvae recruitment.
- Coral reef observation.
Throughout 2021–2023, students may apply for 1-month up to 6-months internships. For more information, please see the attached MERO Research Internship Guide (ID).

MERO Foundation encourages sharing strategies and contributing to the spread of knowledge for Indonesia’s generation of scientists. In this spirit, we are holding a “Call for Proposals” and invite undergraduate (S1), postgraduate (S2), doctoral research (S3) students, lecturers, and researchers to send in research proposals.
What we offer
- Assistance and support in the university program of which call free campus (MBKM);
- A state-of-the-art laboratory;
- Comfortable and brand new accommodation near the laboratory;
- Aid in obtaining the research permit;
- Guidance in accordance to your study competences, and;
- In-house experts that can provide research supervision.

Important
Applicants must send their filled in Proposal Form to contact@merofoundation.org. No more than twelve (12) applicants will be accepted. Proposals will be chosen based on topic and scope of research. The research time schedule is limited to February 2021 to December 2021.

We start the afternoon with opening words from our Moderator I Wayan Mudianta and Chairman Dr. Rhesi Kristiana, followed by presentations by our guest speakers. Next, we will have a discussion session on predetermined topics, and we end with the opportunity for viewers to ask questions.
